Direct Release System

Direct Release System

A Direct Release System is an automatic fire suppression solution designed to detect and extinguish fires at their source, making it especially effective for protecting enclosed or high-risk environments such as electrical panels, CNC machines, server racks, and vehicle engine compartments.

How It Works

The system utilizes specialized fire detection tubing—a flexible, heat-sensitive polymer tube—that serves both as the fire detector and the suppressant delivery mechanism. Here's the operational sequence:

1. Heat Detection : The tubing is strategically installed around potential fire hazards. When exposed to high temperatures, the section of the tube nearest the heat source ruptures, creating a nozzle-like opening.

2. Agent Discharge : The rupture causes a drop in pressure within the tube, triggering the release of the fire suppression agent directly through the burst hole, effectively targeting the fire at its origin.

3. Fire Suppression : The agent—often a clean agent like Novec™ 1230 or FM-200—is discharged precisely where it's needed, rapidly suppressing the fire and minimizing damage to surrounding equipment.

This direct application method ensures swift response times and efficient use of the suppression agent.

Key Benefits
1. Rapid Response :

Immediate detection and suppression at the fire's origin.

2. Minimal Damage :

Clean agents leave no residue, preserving sensitive equipment.

3. Compact Design :

Ideal for confined spaces and micro-environments.

4. Autonomous Operation :

Functions without the need for electricity or external power sources.

5. Cost-Effective :

Pre-engineered systems reduce installation and maintenance costs.

Common Applications

1. Electrical Enclosures :Protecting control panels and switchgear.

2. Manufacturing Equipment :Safeguarding CNC machines and other machinery.

3. Data Centers :Securing server racks and IT infrastructure.

4. Transportation :Fire protection for vehicle engine compartments.

5. Commercial Kitchens :Shielding cooking equipment and hoods.
